Press Release for HAJ 2011

The Haj Committee of India in its meeting held on 22.12.10 at New Delhi decided that for HAJ-2011 only passports holders will be asked to apply for Haj. All the intending pilgrims are hereby requested to apply for passports immediately and obtain international passports before the formal announcement of HAJ 2011.Only passport holders will be preferred at

the time of QURRAH (Draw of lots).

The present two form system, one for Qurrah and another for HAJ will be replaced by a single Application Form which will be considered both for Qurrah and HAJ.

Each cover head will be asked to give two mobile numbers which shall be kept valid till the end of Haj. This is to enable the HCOI to inform the Haji by SMS the latest developments and the status of his HAJ application.

Each Head of Cover will be required to submit a photo copy of  a cancelled cheque. This measure enables HCOI to issue refunds faster, if any, to the Haji. The Haji's account will be directly credited instead of sending a cheque.

It is also appealed to all State Haj Committees, concerned Haj  Voluntary Organisations to help the intending pilgrims in applying for passports.

சென்னை : இந்த ஆண்டு ஹஜ் பயணம் செல்ல சர்வதேச பாஸ்போர்ட் அவசியமென, தமிழக அரசு தெரிவித்துள்ளது. தமிழக அரசின் செய்திக்குறிப்பு: டில்லியில் கடந்த மாதம் நடந்த இந்திய ஹஜ் குழுவின் கூட்டத்தில், சர்வதேச பாஸ்போர்ட் வைத்துள்ள புனித பயணிகள் மட்டுமே 2011ல் ஹஜ் பயணம் செய்ய விண்ணப்பிக்க முடியும் என முடிவு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது. ஹஜ் பயணத்துக்கு விண்ணப்பிக்கும் போது, ஒவ்வொருவரும் சர்வதேச பாஸ்போர்ட் அவசியம் வைத்திருக்க வேண்டும். தங்களிடம் பாஸ்போர்ட் இல்லையென்றால், ஹஜ் பயணத்துக்கு விண்ணப்பிக்கும் முன், பாஸ்போர்ட்டுக்கு விண்ணப்பித்து, ஹஜ் அறிவிப்பு வெளியாகும் முன்பு, பெற நடவடிக்கை எடுக்க வேண்டும். பாஸ்போர்ட் வைத்திருப்பவர்கள் மட்டுமே குலுக்கல் சமயத்தில் சேர்க்கப்படுவர். இவ்வாறு செய்திக்குறிப்பில் தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
